Wedgewood Houston Flourishes with Housing, Hermès, and Eateries Coming
Nashville-based real estate development company AJ Capital Partners announced it will soon open its second rental apartment property in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood, just months after the high-profile debut of restaurant Pastis and luxury retail brand Hermès in the area.
Memoir May Hosiery is set to include 109 residential units ranging in size from studios to two bedrooms. It will be located at 1210 Martin St. and is already under construction, with an opening date set for March 2026.
It's not the only real estate development in the works for AJ Capital in the area. The firm recently announced the name and other details for its Wedgewood Houston music venue, to be called The Truth.
Memoir May Hosiery is part of an 18-acre mixed-use development called Wedgewood Village, built by AJ Capital. It is set to include restaurants Momotaro and Alla Vita, a small market and bakery called Perenn Grocery and Bell Bird Bookstore. The new development project is just across the street from AJ Capital's May Hosiery Mills property, which now includes Soho House, New York-based restaurant Pastis, and Nashville's new Hermès store.
"Over the past several months, Wedgewood Village has welcomed Stephen Starr and Keith McNally's French brasserie Pastis and the iconic French brand and contemporary artisan since 1837 Hermès, while introducing 2026 additions such as The Truth by Live Nation, Perenn Grocery, Bell Bird Books, and our new residential offering Memoir May Hosiery," said AJ Capital's Chief Brand Officer Ruben Navarro. "As we continue to expand Wedgewood Village, we see Memoir May Hosiery as being situated at the heart of it all with an ideal location overlooking Houston and Martin Street."
