One of Nashville’s most anticipated restaurants is making progress.
New York City-based Pastis announced in 2022 it was heading to Wedgewood Houston — an increasingly trendy neighborhood — at 512 Houston St. next to Soho House Nashville.
New plans shed light on what the space will look like.
The Parisian-focused eatery by James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs Stephen Starr and Keith McNally will be 11,225 square feet and sit inside of AJ Capital’s May Hosiery Mills project.
“Pastis is a storied institution, and we’re humbled they have chosen Wedgewood Houston as their Nashville home,” said Kyle Allen, senior vice president of retail for AJ Capital, in a past statement to the Business Journal. “The restaurant will be a true neighborhood gathering spot, an incredible addition that will be enjoyed by everyone from locals to international travelers.”
“It’s an incredible moment for Nashville to see two industry legends choose Wedgewood Houston as the destination for the next outpost of Pastis,” Elliot Kyle, of The McDevitt Company and who represented Pastis during the deal, said in a statement to the Business Journal. “It certainly is a testimony to the rich culture, energy and excitement felt throughout our community. Very similar to how the initial Pastis brought a new wave of tenants and individuals to New York’s Meatpacking District, Pastis Nashville will play a key role in the continued evolution and growth of our city.”
