Nashville's Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings

The Tennessean
January 06, 2026
The year ahead is shaping up to be a busy — and potentially defining — one for Nashville’s dining scene. In 2026, the city will welcome an influx of major global hospitality brands, including José Andrés, signaling a new level of attention and investment from the broader restaurant world.
Here's a look at just some of the projects the city will welcome in 2026, both large and small.

Momotaro
515 Houston St.

Momotaro is a world-class, modern Japanese fine-dining experience from Chef Gene Kato that originally opened in Chicago circa 2014. It has received numerous awards from the Michelin Guide, the Chicago Tribune and others.
Boka Restaurant group announced back in 2022 that it would bring the innovative, authentic Japanese cuisine to Nashville in AJ Capital's Wedgewood Village, and in 2026, it's finally slated to open.
Perenn Grocery
515 Houston St.
Chefs Aubrey and Tyler O'Laskey just moved to Nashville in 2024, but by the end of 2026, they will own three businesses in the area. Their bakeries in Franklin and Berry Hill both opened this year, alongside a restaurant at the Franklin location.
Next year, they will launch Perenn Grocery in Wedgewood Houston, a luxe concept with local goods, prepared foods and the baked goods and coffee they've become known for. It's planned for the Wedgewood Village development from AJ Capital Partners.
"Perenn isn't just a bakery, I think it's more of a lifestyle," AJ Capital Senior Vice President of Retail Kyle Allen said. "It's this obsession with quality and getting the best ingredients. And it's in their DNA."
Alla Vita
523 Houston St.
A neighborhood Italian spot from Chef Lee Wolen (Boka, Girl + the Goat), known for handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas and dishes like Cacio e Pepe Ricotta Dumplings and unique arancini, with some Nashville-exclusive items planned.
A third concept from Boka Restaurant Group
Address to be determined
Renowned Chicago restaurant group Boka has three Nashville restaurants slated to open in 2025. They include Momotaro, Alla Vita and a mystery third restaurant, with details expected later.

All three Boka restaurants will be in AJ Capital’s Wedgewood Village, the development that has already welcomed big names like Hermès and Pastis.
Whether the third concept is the restaurant group's namesake spot Boka, a third location of Chef Stephanie Izard's Girl + the Goat or a brand new concept altogether, it's sure to be exciting.
